Mr. Milan has been an active, certified member of the American Translators Association (ATA) since 2005. He has presented at conferences and produced webinars for its members. He served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer from 2017-2023, in addition to chairing the Finance and Audit Committee and Strategy Committee.
For eight years, Mr. Milan served on the Board of Directors of the Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters (CATI), including four years as President. He remains actively involved in this professional association.
While at the Ohio State University, Mr. Milan was a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellow, Teaching Assistant, and member of the Honor Society. He earned a Master of Science in Applied Microeconomics while specializing in Portuguese translation.
